Ruby N. Isbell age 86, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 7, 2018. She was born in Denton, Texas on January 2, 1932 to Lillie Mae Farmer Humphreys and George Crighton Humphreys. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was a great cook, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always a very loving, caring and happy person who could have been considered strong willed at times and will be loved and missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Isbell; her brother, Gene Humphreys and her grandsons, Ray Isbell and Taylor Herman. Ruby is survived by her children, Jerry Isbell (and wife, Vicki), David Isbell (and wife, Cathy), Kathy Mercer (and husband, Robert) Janis Richey and Mary Clark (and husband, Roy) and her sister-in-law, Mary Humphreys. Also survived by eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

 A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Wednesday afternoon January 10, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. followed by services in Sterling White Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
