Sharon E. Battarbee

Sharon Elaine Battarbee, age 63, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 5, 2017. She was born in Texarkana, Arkansas August 30, 1953 to Elenora Stuart Brashear and Horace N. Brashear. She enjoyed playing softball, working crossword puzzles, and working her Princess House business, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving, thoughtful, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, could be considered strong willed at times, and will be loved and missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Eric Dale Battarbee and her brothers, Jim “Bo” Brashear and Richard Brashear. Sharon is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Norman Allen Battarbee; her son Todd Allen Battarbee & daughter-in-law Nicole “Niki” Battarbee; her sisters, Deborah Turner (and husband, Tommy) and Linda Brashear; her brother, Winford “Willie” Brashear and her grandchildren, Hailey Danielle Gordon, Piper Fallon Battarbee, Zadie Layne Battarbee and Quinn Elise Battarbee. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Friday evening July 14, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Services will be held in Sterling-White Funeral Home Saturday morning, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Sterling-White Cemetery.
