Tribute

Angelee Zadrapa, 89 years young, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Gene Zadrapa, her son, Glenn Zadrapa and her daughter, Patricia Herman, but is now reunited with so many departed family members and friends, who are celebrating their reunion in God’s loving care.  She is deeply missed by surviving daughters, Kathy Stuart, and grandsons Zac, Jake and Josh of Highlands, Debbie King, son-in-law, Troy King, grandchildren Nick, Natalie and Noah of Friendswood.  Grandson Chris Zadrapa, wife Christie and great grandson, Duncan of Mont Belvieu, and grandson, Craig Zadrapa, wife Jen, and great grandchildren DJ, Mayah, Noah, Hannah and Sarah of Waco, and step granddaughter, Chasity Herman.  She will also be missed by her brother Bob Bobalik, sisters Joyce Hosea, Mary McCartney, Carolyn White, Diane Cornelius, and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Angie was born in Chocolate Bayou, Texas in 1931.  She graduated from Robert E Lee High School in Baytown in 1948, worked for Southwestern Bell when she met and married her greatest love, Gene Zadrapa in 1952.  She will always be remembered for her thoughtful ways and gentle nature.  Angie was a member of St Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Highlands and a charter member of the Catholic Daughters.  She was an active in Highlands as a CCE teacher, PTO room mother, softball coach and a generous volunteer at St Jude’s as long as she was physically able.

Angie is loved and will be fondly remembered for her deep faith, kolache baking skills, raising chickens and cows, gardening, traveling with Gene and her compassionate, caring spirit.

Funeral arrangements were made with Sterling White Funeral Home in Highlands.  Services will be held on Tuesday, November 3 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 800 South Main, Highlands. Entry into the church requires wearing a mask and observing social distancing. Visitation will begin at 1 pm, followed by a Rosary at 2 pm .  The funeral mass will begin at 2:30 pm, immediately followed by a graveside service and burial at Sterling White Cemetery in Highlands.  Donations in her memory and as a tribute can be made to St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Highlands.
