Barbara Elaine Kallies

Barbara Elaine Kallies 78, of Houston, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2018.  Barbara was born on March 12, 1940 in Freer, Texas to Edy and Emma Ida (Steindorf) Sens.  Barbara and her husband Billy owned and operated B & B meat company in Houston for 36 years. In her free time she enjoyed going to the casino, reading, writing, listening to music and most of all spending time with her family and friends.  Barbara was a very strong willed, caring and giving person, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  She is preceded in death by her father, Edy Ernest Sens; mother, Emma Ida Griffith; step father, William D. Griffith; brother, Jerry Allen Sens and brother, Roger Dale Martin.  Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Billy Ray Kallies of Houston, TX; son, Bucky Kallies and wife Lisa of Crosby, TX; daughter, Twyla McFarland and husband Jeff of Crosby, TX; son, Mike Kallies and wife Rhonda of New Caney, TX; sister, Patsy Ann Moore and husband Lynn of Lavernia, TX; grandchildren, Brandi, Kristi, Penny, Holly, Kalli, Shane, Dallas; great grandchildren, Ty, Cash, Cooper, Case, Cameron, Caleb, Coltin, Makenzie, Carlie; and many other relatives and friends.  A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 5pm-8pm at Sterling-White.  Funeral services will be held at Sterling-White on Monday, April 16, 2018 10am with burial to follow at Sterling-White Cemetery.  Services have been entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, Texas 77562.
