Tribute

Billie LaJune (June) Roeder, 85, of Crosby, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. She was born on June 10, 1934 in Goose Creek, Texas to Arnimus Perkins Wilson and Edith Hazel (Chastain) Wilson. June retired from Owens Corning, after working there for many years. She was a member of Highlands First Assembly of God, where she raised her children. Later, she regularly attended Baytown First Church-Nazarene. She loved old hymns, the Gaither Vocal Band, sewing, crocheting, making clothes and working sudoku puzzles. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren affectionately called her “Mimi” and “Little Granny.” She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, A.P. and Hazel Wilson; her beloved husband, Gilbert Roeder; and brother, Charles Wilson. 

 

June is survived by her daughters, Kathryn and Marshall Limpic of Kansas City, Missouri, Pamela and Jim Hammonds of Austin, Texas, and Dee Ann and Troy Giles of Crosby, Texas; stepchildren, Linda and Bill Hoosier of Vidor, Texas, Steve and Christy Roeder of Dayton, Texas, and Susan Roeder of Humble, Texas; grandchildren, Demi and Dan Moon of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Tony and Kristin Cronin of Huron, South Dakota, Kisha Wallace of Austin, Texas, Deric and Salisa Wallace of Austin, Texas, and Leslee and Joseph Pesak of Mt. Belvieu, Texas; great grandchildren, Cassidy Moon, Nathan Moon, Lilly Moon, and Sophie Moon of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Tyler Cronin and Kaydee Cronin of Huron, South Dakota, and Maddie Wallace, Bennett Wallace and Brooks Wallace all of Austin, Texas; and brother, Ben Wilson of Huntsville, Texas. 

 

A private family graveside service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 1:00pm at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd, Baytown, Texas 77521. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to Highlands First Assembly of God or Baytown First Church-Nazarene.
