Caryl Phillips Bayless

Caryl Phillips Bayless age 70, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 26, 2018. She was born in Bainbridge, Georgia to Mildred Lavern Phillips and Quitman Askins Phillips. She enjoyed fishing, swimming, dancing and was an avid reader, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very outgoing, feisty, ball of fire type person who liked to be the center of attention and will always be loved and missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Phillips.

Caryl is survived by her beloved husband, Young Jim Bayless; her children, Angela Alley, Neville McCorkel and Katherine Heath; her step children, Cheryl  and James Bayless; her sisters and brothers, Gene Phillips, Denise Smith, David Phillips and Kim Zilis.   Also survived by 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren,   other relatives and many friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Tuesday October 2, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Wednesday October 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
