Doris Catherine Benjaman

Doris Catherine Benjaman – age 92 passed away Saturday February 22, 2020 at her home with her loving family by her side. Doris was born in Boston, Massachusetts September 5, 1927 the daughter of the late Roy Capan and Peggy Higgins Capan. Doris was a homemaker, who not only raised her children, but also her grandchildren. She loved nothing more than to care for her grandbabies. She enjoyed shopping and was a volunteer for Hospice as well as Al-Anon. She was social and never met a stranger. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Harris Benjaman, daughter Dee Dee Banach, grandson Frank Joseph Banach Jr. and a sister Anna Abbruzzese. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons: Harris Roy Pulsifer; Roy James Pulsifer; daughter: Laurie Jean Lane; her grandchildren she raised: Margaret Speers; Warren Banach; Roy James Pulsifer Jr; and Lance Pulsifer. Doris also leaves fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren. A funeral service for Doris will be held 2PM Wednesday February 26, 2020 at Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd. Highlands. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
