Doris V. (Pouncey) Green

Doris Virginia Green went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2021 in Crosby, TX. Doris was born April 13, 1941 in Humble, TX, the daughter of Marion Dee Pouncey and Beatrice Julia Pouncey. Doris was a 1959 graduate of Galena Park High school in Galena Park. Doris married her husband, Lynwood on June 12, 1959. Doris is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Doris was a faithful Christian and longtime active member and disciple leader of First Baptist Church of Crosby. Her life was a testimony to the joy of the Lord. Doris enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing, playing cards and dominoes.

Doris is survived by her children, Sheryl Lynn Scott of Pasadena, Texas; Raymond Douglas Green of Bryan, Texas and wife, Charlotte; her grandchildren, Christopher Gene Glaser, and his wife Tonia of Conroe, Texas, Douglas Ray Green and his wife, Kelli of Pasadena, TX, Stephanie Marie Olivier of Vancouver, Washington, Jeffrey Scott Green and Heather Green of Baytown, Texas, Brandon Wayne Scott of Pasadena, Texas and Stephanie Nichole Miller and her husband, Travis of Crosby, Texas, Tiffany Joy Green of Pasadena, Texas. Her great grandchildren, Kade Mathew Mahoney, Mason Walter Mahoney, Ty Douglas Green, Deacon Wayne Scott, Haiden Wayne Scott, Raylynn Paisley Green, Zane Anthony Miller, Brynlee Kay Green, Ella Rae Green, Weston Bartell Miller, her sisters Annette Parker of San Saba, Elaine Turner of Houston, Texas, and many other family members and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Sterling White Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, June 4, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Crosby with interment to follow at St. Elmo Cemetery in Streetman, Texas at 4:00pm. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Chris Glaser, Douglas Green, Jeff Green, Bill Wallace, Tim Wallace, and Travis Miller.
