Doyce R Hedger

Doyce Rudolph Hedger, age 77, went to be with the Lord on Monday July 23, 2018.  He was born in Wellington, Texas on May 23, 1941 to Ola Grace Clifton Hedger and Thomas Troy Hedger. He enjoyed many things like astronomy, traveling, working on cars, watching Formula One racing and serving at his church.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a devout Christian man who was very outgoing and never met a stranger. He loved to talk and make conversation and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sue Atkinson. 

Doyce is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Myra Hedger; his sons, Shannon Hedger (and wife, Ludie) and Sean Hedger (and wife, Isabel) and his grandchildren, Phoebe, Aliana and Natalia Hedger.  He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Friday evening July 27, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday July 28, 2018 at First Baptist Church Highlands at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Sterling-White Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, 210 N. Magnolia, Highlands, Texas 77562.
