Ethel Ruth Martinez

Ethel Ruth Hillhouse Martinez- age 79 passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in Baytown, Texas. Ethel was born in Baytown November 18, 1939 as the daughter of the late Leonard Earl Hillhouse and Bertha Young Hillhouse. She loved to read mystery novels, go out to eat, and loved to travel and see the blue bonnets. She will be remembered for her wit, care free attitude, and her devotion to her family. She worked for over thirty years at K-Mart where she was the resident assistant manager. Ethel attended Refuge church formally Harvest Temple and Faith Temple. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her son Wilford Martinez and a brother Jack A. Hillhouse. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Albert Allen Martinez Jr. and wife Theresa of Cypress, daughter Julie Lundry of Crosby, son Steven Martinez and wife Misty of Baytown, sisters Carol Tharp of Cypress, Earline Baker of Baytown, and Mary Young of Cypress, brothers Leonard Hillhouse and wife Dorothy of Dayton, Steven Hillhouse and wife Elizabeth of Baytown, and Timothy Hillhouse and wife Debra of Cameron. In addition, Ethel leaves eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Ethel will be held Monday, July 15, 2019 from 5-8PM at Sterling White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, Texas 77562.
