Evelyn Rose Waterloo

Evelyn Rose Novak Waterloo, 82, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020. She was born on December 21, 1937 in Fayetteville, Texas to John William Novak and Julia Frances Chovanek Novak. Evelyn was loving, loyal and supportive mom, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always put others first and was so humble. She had a quick wit, a big smile and could light up a room. Evelyn was a devout Catholic and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters. Evelyn loved being surrounded by her family, whether in the backyard swinging, sitting around the kitchen table playing games, or attending a family reunion. She enjoyed gardening and canning, cooking, dominoes, board games, card games, crafting, sewing, crocheting. Evelyn will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Pete Waterloo; parents, John and Julia Novak; and daughter, Carrie Hollis.

Evelyn is survived by her sons, James Malac (Rebecca) and Michael Waterloo (Amanda); daughters, Jenny Prasek (James), Roxane McGowan (David), Kay Skiles, and Sharon Hanel (Johnny); 16 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Evelyn will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Prasek, Chris Scott, David McGowan, Kevin Hollis, Mason Hanel, Jackson Waterloo, Johnathan Malac, Clint Scott, Dakota McCorquodale and Cody Hollis.

Services and a graveside will be privately held and are under the care of Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands Texas.
