Freddie Joe Stevens, 76, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021. He was born on April 23, 1944, in Paragould, Arkansas to Donald Odil Stevens and Wava Jean Lundy Stevens. Freddie was a proud United States Marine who served in Vietnam and will be laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery. He was very family-oriented and enjoyed spending quality time with them. Freddie loved camping at Inks Lake in Burnet, fishing, and showing off his green thumb.  He was a wonderful man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Wava Jean Stevens.

Freddie is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Shirley Stevens; son, Bryan Stevens and wife Shawna; daughter, Katrina Kauffman and husband Robert; grandchildren, Garrett Stevens, Reagan Stevens, Carson Stevens, R.J. Kauffman, Zachary Kauffman, and Nicholas Kauffman; sister, Judy Hilton and husband Ricky; brother, Terry Lee Stevens and wife Margaret; father-in-law, T.K. Condron; sister-in-law, Glenna Knight and husband Joe; brother-in-law, Trevin Condron, and wife Cindi; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Sterling White Funeral Home. A Celebration of Freddie’s life will follow at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you make a donation in memory of Freddie to the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038.
