James "Jimmy" Gleason Jr.

James “Jimmy” Jay Gleason Jr. age 58, passed away Saturday November 16, 2019. Jimmy was born in Houston, Texas October 24, 1961 the son of James Gleason Sr. and the late Angilena Loukanis Gleason. Jimmy was a hard worker, who could never sit still. He worked as an operator for Enbridge for over thirty-two years and was the owner and operator of C&J Carports and Construction for thirty years. He always enjoyed the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, tending to his cattle, or just riding his tractor. No matter if you were hungry or not, Jimmy would always make sure you had a plate of food. Jimmy would light up a room with his outgoing and infectious personality. He loved to tell stories and make others laugh. He was generous, giving and will be remembered for his kind heartedness. Family was the most important thing to Jimmy, he was happiest in their company. Jimmy spent his entire life working hard to ensure his family was taken care of. He was preceded in death by his mother as well as his father-in-law Charles Miller. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of twenty-five years Teri Kay Gleason, his father James Gleason Sr., his mother-in-law Sarah Miller-Rayburn, his daughter Brittany Klein and her husband Jacob, his son Cullen Gleason and his significant other Shelby, his daughter Jaymee Lacy and her husband Blake, his sister Linda Gaines and her husband Randy, his brother Bill Gleason and his wife Venitta, and his brother-in-law Danny Miller and his wife Jennifer. In addition, he leaves his three grandchildren Carter, Bentley, Jayden, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation for Jimmy will be held Thursday November 21, 2019 from 5-8PM at Sterling White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10AM Friday November 22, 2019 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Sterling White Cemetery.
