James Byron Thompson

James Byron Thompson, 81, went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2018. He was born on November 9, 1936 in Walhalla, North Dakota to James Arthur Thompson and Elsie Dennick Thompson. He was strong willed and a very hard worker. James enjoyed gardening, training racehorses and spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Thompson and Elsie Dennick; son, James Vincent Thompson; brothers, Robert Thompson and Peter Thompson; and sister, Mary Thompson Abraham.

James is survived by his beloved wife, Terry Thompson; daughters, Cher Cortez Pesses and Theresa Thompson Palomares; son, Timothy Thompson; daughter in law, Bonnie Marcet; grandchildren, Troy Thompson, Trever Thompson, Taylor Carney Lovinggood, Tyler Carney, Holly Pray and Chayman Carson; six great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, Texas.
