Tribute

Justin Ray St. John, 37, of Atascocita, Texas, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, in Atascocita. He was born on November 8, 1983, to Stacey Parnell and the late Raymond St. John, in Galveston, Texas. Justin graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown, Texas, in 2002. He worked as a locomotive engineer for BNSF Railroad.

Justin enjoyed fishing, floating the Frio with his family, camping at Blanco State Park with his girls, eating crawfish, going to Astros games, attending concerts, and listening to music.  He was an amazing father who enjoyed spending every waking moment with his children. Justin was a loving husband, a devoted family man, and a loyal friend who would do anything for those he loved. Justin was funny but only occasionally appropriate. He loved to make people laugh even if it meant trading jabs. Justin was rough around the edges, but he was extremely genuine and caring, with a heart of gold. He was a generous person who would give you the shirt off of his back. Justin had no filter, was brutally honest, and was well known for his sense of humor. He was a very hard worker and took pride in his job as a locomotive engineer. He was also very proud to be a Master Mason and a member of Sampson Masonic Lodge #231.

Justin was preceded in death by his father Raymond O’Day St. John Jr, his grandfather Raymon O’Day St. John Sr., his grandmother Laverne Bass St. John, and his grandfather Charles Jerry Parnell.
