Margaret A Whiddon

Margaret Ann Whiddon left this earth on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. She was born in Richards, TX on March 15, 1941 to Esseack Uilkie and Sallie Sicinski. She was married to her husband Melvin for 58 years.

She was a longtime resident of Crosby, TX where she and husband Melvin had a family owned restaurant business known as “Whiddon’s Seafood”. Margaret and Melvin retired and moved to High Island, TX and would spend many years enjoying fishing and cooking for their family and friends who came to visit. Margret loved her daughters and grandchildren. When great grandchildren came along they renamed her “Margie” and she cherished the name. Their grandchildren would spend many summers at the beach fishing and having family fish and shrimp cook outs. She enjoyed cooking but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very sweet, loving, kind person who was always smiling. Our family saw God through Margie because Jesus’ light radiated out of her so much. She gave great advice about life and was a great example of how to live our life.
 
 Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Whiddon; parents, Esseack and Sallie Uilkie ; daughter, Linda Tucker; son-in-law, Timothy J. Parsley; brothers, Pete Uilkie and Ed Uilkie.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Phyllis and Alan Worrell; grandchildren and their spouses, Crystal Chesser; Donnie and Amanda Woods III; Jeremiah and Natalie Parsley; Amber Parsley; son in law, Mike Tucker; sister in law, Patsy Uilkie
Great grandchildren, Chloie and Claire Chesser; Kylie, Kellie and Jarrett Woods; Bryce and Jack Parsley; Jensen George and many friends.

Margaret’s wish was to be cremated and there will be a celebration of her life on August 3, 2019 at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 915 Runneburg Rd, Crosby, TX 77532. Family and friends are invited to attend.
