Shirley Ann Griffin

Shirley Ann “Grannie Annie” Griffin passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 surrounded by family. She was born October 23, 1933 to Douglas Chesser and Wilhelmina Heard. Shirley enjoyed making stained glass, sewing, traveling and going to casinos and playing the slot machines. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Shirley was always all about family, she was loving and giving, and she will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin Dewey Griffin, her daughter Betty Kathleen Kitto and her parents Wilhelmina and Douglas Chesser.

Shirley is survived by daughter Pamela Ann McConal; daughter Tina Marie Loving; daughter Robin Lynn Kirkland; daughter Jodi Diane Richards; granddaughters Sheyanne, Shawna, Sasha, Sundie, Brittany, and Kimberly; and grandsons Richard, Kip, and Corey. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, numerous extended family and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Corey Lamb, David Loving, Everett Kirkland, Stephen Smith, William Berry and Bryr Harvey.

A visitation for friends and family will be held from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Sterling-White Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will start 2:00pm on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Sterling-White Funeral Home.
