Tami Leigh Raber Thompson, 46, of passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019. She was born on June 12, 1973 in Great Bend, Kansas and later adopted by Bruce Raber and Lorraine Ross Raber. She was strong in her faith and was member of Lighthouse Worship for twenty years, before moving to Texas. While in Kansas, she enjoyed working with the Youth Corps, and doing mission work. She regularly attended Crosby Church after she moved to Texas. Tami was a beacon of light who could make a positive out of a negative situation. She was a strong woman that was very family oriented. She had a special bond with her daughter, whom she raised as a single parent. An excellent cook, whose specialties included homemade noodles and cinnamon rolls. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Tami was preceded in death by her grandfather, Milton Ross; grandmother, Erma Raber; and daughter, Jasmine Raber.
She is survived by her parents, Bruce and Lorraine Raber of Greensburg, KS; soulmate and husband, Michael Thompson; daughter, Haleigh D. Raber; and brothers, Zach Raber and wife Mallory, Todd Raber and wife Shirley, Zane Raber and wife Sarah, Xavier Raber, Sam Heine and friend Letha Heine, Richard Lamb and significant other Dory Caley and Charlie Lamb and wife Amy. Tami also leaves behind numerous extended family and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Sterling White Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00pm. Interment will follow in Sterling White Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
