Ted Alton Cashion Jr

March 5, 1935 ~ June 21, 2018 (age 83) 83 Years Old

Tribute

Ted Alton (Buddy) Cashion of Highlands passed away on the morning of June 21, 2018. He was born on March 5, 1935 in White Oak Texas to Ted Alton Cashion, Sr. and Polly Conner Cashion.  He graduated from Cedar Bayou High School and joined the Army soon after.  He served in Germany for two years and left the Army as a Cpl. over the motor pool.  Ted worked for 35 years at Oxy Chemicals and retired as Superintendent of Maintenance.  He was passionate about sports. He was an avid Astro, Rocket and Texan fan and an outdoorsman.  He loved fishing and hunting as his many trophies attest to.  His deer hunting trips are legendary.  He also enjoyed cooking and was a great cook, and was generous with his talent.  He grew a large garden for many years and shared the bounty with friends.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.  He was loved by many and will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Theresa Anne Cashion and children, daughter Teri Mullins, Anne Cauthen, Joe Cashion and Jim Cashion. Son in laws, Clint Mullins and Dwayne Cauthen, and daughter in law Paula Cashion, grandchildren, Kristi (Brandon) Buehring, Cody Cauthen, Caroline Cashion, Courtney Cashion, Amy (Jarred) Langois, Chloe Mullins, Cailey Cashion and Colbie Cashion., and great grandchildren Olivia and Adeline. Pallbearers Jimmy, Tony and David Keyes, Jarred Langois, and David Ray.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24th, 2018 at 1:45 pm at St.Judes Catholic Church, 800 S Main St, Highlands, TX 77562. A Celebration of Life will follow in the church hall after the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
