Theonila "Babs" P. Buchanan

Theonila “Babs” Buchanan passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 in Baytown, Texas. She was born to Charles and Annie Jurek on Sunday, June 23, 1929 in East Bernard, Texas. Theonila was known to be a loyal  and compassionate person, who enjoyed gardening, and reading. 

She was a loving and caring mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother, to all who knew her. 

Theonila was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vester James Buchanan, her sons James Vester Buchanan, Michael Wyane Buchanan, David Alvin Buchanan, her sister Helen Miller and her brother-in-law Elbert Fred Miller. 

She is survived by her four children Charles Earl Buchanan, Linda Buchanan, Judy Buchanan and Marianne Buchanan Bjork and her husband Kevin Bjork. Trudy Taylor Buchanan, widow to David, Paula Hinkson, Jean Bacigalupo, Shere Crossman. Her pets Rosie and Willie, 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. 

We would like to extend a special Thanks to hospice nurse Rhonda. 

Friends are invited to visit with the family Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 11:00am until 12:00pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00pm in the Chapel of Sterling~White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, Texas 77562.
