Wendy Sue Lonidier

Wendy Sue Lonidier, 62, passed away on April 8, 2019. She was born on January 4, 1957 in Houston, Texas to Carl Shaffer and June Barron. She was a woman who didn’t hold anything back and if she felt you needed to know, you’d know. Her family was her life, she enjoyed sitting outside and watching her three grandkids. Wendy also enjoyed listening to country music and watching ‘General Hospital’. She was a heartfelt, strong and independent woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her infant daughter and stepfather, Frank Carker.

Wendy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Mike Lonidier; son, Alex Lonidier and wife Nicole; grandchildren, Joshua Leanox, James Lonidier, and Mabel Lonidier; parents, Carl and June Shaffer; siblings, Lynda Fontenot and husband Eric, Dennis Shaffer and wife Tina, Mike Shaffer and wife Mary, Sheldon Shaffer and wife Kelly, Ronny Carker and wife Lisa, and Joe Carker; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Wendy’s Life will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562.
