Zelda Delores Whitten, 85, of Crosby, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020, in Mont Belvieu, Texas. She was born on May 27, 1935, in Norphlet, Arkansas, to the late Bernard Greenwood Turner and Carrie Azell Morrow.

Zelda was a person who pursued many interests, some of which included reading, crocheting and painting. She was a compassionate person who was smart as a whip. Zelda was loving and kind. “She loved her children well.” Her nieces and nephews were her priority, she loved them and they loved her. Zelda also loved Jesus and her Honey as well.

Zelda was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Little Honey of 25 years, her sons Tommy and Michael Whitten, her sister Julia Ratka, and her brothers Bill and Robert Turner. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her children Vickie Ewell and husband Mitchel of Crosby, Texas Terri Sutton and husband Richard of Old River-Winfree, Texas, Donald Whitten Jr. of Grapeland, Texas, Darrel Whitten and wife Lisa of Deer Park, Texas, Gary Hensel and wife Felicia of Dayton,  her sister Linda Grimaldo and husband Arthur of Alabama, 22 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
