Mary Lynn Lostak, 70, of Spring, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017. She was born on February 14, 1947 in Lufkin, Texas to Buford Edwin Creasy and Verna Yvonne Ponder Creasy. She earned a Bachelor's degree from Lamar State College of Technology and spent 10 years teaching high school home economics. She went on to find her true passion as a clown. She was known as Sugar Plum and entertained at birthday parties and company picnics for almost 30 years. She volunteered as a clown for various charities and taught new clowns about makeup, costumes, balloon animals, and magic. She also belonged to the Cheerful Clown Alley of Houston. Mary was vibrant, outgoing, funny, and known as the life of the party. She loved children, reading, sewing, gardening, and made many people laugh and put joy in their hearts. Mary was a loving wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was beloved and bigger than life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Verna Creasy; and her twin sister, Martha Ann Creasy.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth Lostak; son, Damien Lostak; daughter, Tracy Lostak Mejeoumov; sisters, Susan Jimenez, Dee Shelton, Carmen Moore, Carolyn Hamilton Phillips; brothers, Jim Wallace, Allen Wallace, Lee Wallace; and four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Mason, Lilia, and Zoe.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sterling White Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 11:00 am also at Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
